Closet Monster:
The poster for a previous trailer and film I analysed which explores themes about homosexuality among teenagers has a fairly simplistic yet complex poster, which includes all the key elements such as title, credits and social media links at the bottom. The poster shows some of the main characters in the film, with similar make-up to how they had in key party scenes, linking to its teen drama genre. The font and colour scheme are effective and match up to what was used in the film meaning that there is a consistency throughout the product.
Love Rosie:
The poster for Love Rosie is a classic example of a romance genre poster, showing the two main heterosexual couple in an intimate position, which immediately shows to the audience the main themes of the film. However the colour scheme of the background can be seen to be different on the poster than in the rest of the film, however the text and text colour is the same, with the colour red having connotations of love and romance. Again the product has all the usual poster parts, such as credits, names of actors and a tag line, which can be commonly scene with popular films.
Trainspotting:
The trainspotting poster fits with the rest of the product, and obviously connotes to the audience that it is of the social realism genre through the use of mise-en-scene of the characters, and darker more de-saturated colour scheme. Here the title is clear and the tag line is shown clearly at the top of the poster, as it is an important part of the film and used as a voice over in the trailer, which is an example how the products is pulled together.
