PALETTE
The colour palette and filter is continuous throughout my piece, however due to lighting the shots in the city did come out darker than the shots taken at the beach. The filter that I used on these shots created a de-saturated and sunny affect, as well as creating the look of being slightly vintage as there is a slight tint of brown, especially in the shots of the sky. From looking at the difference in colours in the city and by the sea it could be said to reflect the mood and show a more oppressed atmosphere.
EDITING
The editing consisted of mostly fading in and out before shots, showing a transition of location and this was also done to begin to blend the two shots together. For example this was done to between the two shots of the sky with clouds to make the transition more smooth, because it was hard to film in each location with the weather being the same which would allow me to get similar shots each time. Finally the duration of the shots were longer on the walking to show a transition in time and location.
CAMERAWORK
The camerawork consisted of mostly a mixture of long shots, as I felt this was important to show to the audience the different locations and features, due to the changes in this throughout the video. These camera shots also consist of a mixture of high and low angled shots showing both the sky and the ground putting an emphasis on travel and movement, as well as directly singling out what the viewer is looking at.
MISE-EN-SCENE
The mise-en-scene can be split into two parts from the beach scenes and then the more urban setting consisting of London. To make this transition clearer I think that I could ave included more iconic features from London, such as big Ben or red London buses, however I think that the shots taken from the beach convey the right emotion and message through the mise-en-scene.
