One of our first parts of our trailer is going to be showing scenes from a party where our main character gets cheated on. As this initial part of the trailer is key to the following events that happen afterwards it is important that we get the filming done correctly all on one day so that we don't have to recreate the party again. To make sure that the footage looks realistic I have researched into films which have party scenes so that I am able to see what makes them effective. For example this clip below shows one of the key scenes from the film 'Bad Neighbors' and from this some of the main elements which make the scene effective are:
- use of different angles
- use of camera shots such as close ups to highlight main characters in the crowds
-effective use of lighting such as strobe
-use of both diegetic and non-diegetic sounds which are both enhanced
-mise-en-scene , e.g. costuming , props, confetti, banners
